A research group from a Spanish public university has developed a distributed, cloud-based access control system designed to manage secure access to physical facilities using an open Internet of Things (IoT) architecture. The technology enables centralised permission management, real-time monitoring and interoperability with multiple identification technologies and device manufacturers. The organisation is seeking partners for licensing and/or technical cooperation agreements.
